It can be amazing to look at what is thrown away and how much there is. In west London over 350,000 tonnes of rubbish (that’s 8 trains a week each with 11 carriages straight into a hole in the ground) was thrown away last year plus around 300,000 tonnes of recycling. That’s a huge amount and here at West London Waste we’re really pleased that West London has a recycling rate of over 40% thanks to our residents. There’s more we can all do to reduce waste.
